Robert is an experienced Board level HR Director whose roles in the NHS, IBM and Capgemini have required him to lead the corporate HR services together with significant general management and client service responsibilities in UK, Europe, North America and Asia Pacific. His particular focus has been on executive talent management, employee engagement and all the people issues relating to the outsourcing of client services to on and offshore centres. He is now operating as an independent consultant to a number of long-term international clients.

His direct executive experience is particularly in the IT and Public Sectors, but his close involvement in the sale and implementation of Outsourcing deals has taken him into manufacturing (General Motors, Schneider Electric, TATA Steel), Energy, (Ontario Power Generation, Hydro One, TXU) Financial Services (Barclaycard, ABN AMRO), UK Public Sector (HMRC, Local Government) and Media (Time Warner).

He has been the Board member responsible for designing and driving the HR transformation agenda across the globe. This was first delivered in an organisation, which went from a small European loss maker with 14,000 people to the most profitable global division in Capgemini with 28,000 people. A contributor to this success was the recruitment, development, coaching and retention of a strong leadership team of executives and Vice Presidents together with a focus on employee engagement, communications and pervasive global HR processes.
Robert is qualified in HR as a Fellow of the Institute of Personnel and Development (FCIPD), has a Masters Degree in Manpower Management, is a certificated Workplace Mediator (TCM) and is a fully qualified Health Service Manager (IHSM). He lives in Hampshire with his wife and two sons. His interests are cricket, cooking for large events and cycling.
