Declan has over thirty years’ experience at CEO, MD and senior financial levels across many industries. He set up his own consultancy in 2004 specializing in business mentoring and interim senior management assignments. .

As owner of Anndec Consulting Declan has been involved in a variety of roles: • CEO of new Investigations company. • Interim CEO of Home Care company. • MD of new Loyalty Card Company in Ireland. • Restructuring proposals for major bank’s clients. • Acting CEO of large Irish-based humanitarian and disaster relief organization with global and local reach. Worked on new governance law, put in place new enterprise information system, increased fundraising income and reached successful union agreement on pensions. • Acting Financial Controller for semi-state mails operations with over 7,000 employees. Identified over €30m in annual cost savings. Chaired steering group of new enterprise system across 120+ offices. • Successful take-over of two separate franchise outlets. • Due diligence reviews and business and finance adviser on takeover of chemical manufacturer. • Staff re-organisations, cost reductions and revenue improvements. • Successful implementation of complex finance and enterprise system in a high volume unionized manufacturing environment. • Financial management – businesses, people, capital projects (€200m+).
Personal
Holds a Masters in Business Administration (MBA). Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA). Member of Irish Institute of Bankers. Interests include competitive swimming, Formula 1 and private flying. Also enjoys watching rugby and soccer, travelling and reading.
