Kareen Cranston

She has worked in insurance and general financial services businesses, with operations in the UK and overseas at board level. She has also represented these organisations before the Competition Commission, the Office of Fair Trading and Financial Services Authority.

As General Counsel she has been involved in: • Managing the internal team of solicitors • Review of spend on external service providers and managing the legal budget • Tenders for domestic and overseas legal and tax services • Work with internal and external auditors • Board work with Executives, Non Executive Directors, Shareholders • M & A’s, high profile litigation, high value contract negotiation, employment issues • Introduction of new processes and IT systems • Various tenders for outsourced services • Organisational restructures.

A member of the Law Society, the British Psychological Society, mentor for the Association of Women Solicitors. Also a member of BNI and Herts Chamber of Commerce Kareen lives in St Albans with her son. Her hobbies include running, cooking, reading and researching her family tree. She also enjoys travelling.
